Fully Qualified Counsellor Based in Kettering

Looking for help with challenges for you or your child?

Hi, I’m Rachel, a fully qualified integrative therapist. I believe that therapy should be as unique as you are, which is why I don’t use a “one size fits all” approach. Instead, I draw on a range of different therapeutic tools to find the best way to support you or your child.

I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy), and accredited with the NCPS (National Counselling and Psychotherapy Society) meaning I work to high professional and ethical standards. Whether you are looking for child therapy or adult counselling, my goal is to provide a calm, safe, and non-judgmental space for people across Kettering, Corby, and Wellingborough. I’m here to help you navigate life’s challenges in a way that feels right for you.

Due to reaching capacity with Face to Face appointments : Currently I am only able to offer Online and Telephone Appointments – Please see my booking diary for availability.

How I Work

You might hear the term “Integrative Therapy” and wonder what it actually means. Simply put, it means I have a “toolbox” of different therapeutic approaches.

Instead of sticking to just one way of working, I blend different styles—like looking at your thoughts and patterns or exploring how your past affects your present—depending on what helps you most. It’s a flexible approach that treats you as a whole person, not just a set of symptoms. At Inspiring Minds, the therapy fits the person, not the other way around.

The Session

Sessions last 50 minutes and are tailored to you. Whether face-to-face or online, we focus on your goals in a calm, safe, and professional environment.

Outcomes

Therapy helps you gain clarity, develop healthy coping tools, and build the resilience needed to manage life’s challenges and improve your overall emotional wellbeing.

Therapy can help with many things, from managing specific issues like anxiety to simply feeling “stuck.” If you feel overwhelmed, or if your child’s behaviour has changed, a free consultation is a great way to see if talking things through feels helpful.

Our first session is about getting to know each other. I will ask a few questions to understand what’s going on for you or your child, and you can see if you feel comfortable with me. There’s no pressure to share everything right away.

This varies for everyone. Some people find that 6 to 12 sessions provide the clarity and peace of mind they need, while others prefer longer-term support. We will check in regularly to make sure the sessions are still meeting your goals.

Yes. Everything discussed is private and handled with care. As a BACP and NCPS accredited member, I follow strict ethical guidelines. The only exception is if I am seriously concerned about your safety or the safety of someone else.  I would always try to discuss with you first before sharing information, making a referral or signposting you or someone else to further support.

Children often use play or creativity rather than just words to express themselves. I use age-appropriate tools to help them feel safe, build their confidence, and help them understand their emotions in a way that makes sense to them.

Not at all. You are in control of your therapy. While consistency helps, you are free to end our sessions at any time. We can work together for as few or as many sessions as you feel are useful.

Testimonials

I worked with Rachel at an important turning point in my life and I found our weekly sessions invaluable in helping me gain perspective and understanding my motivations. Rachel created a safe space for me to be totally open and she gently, but purposefully held a mirror up to my life so I could see what had been obscured before. I felt completely at ease in Rachel’s presence, and felt guided by her non-judgemental, sensitive and truthful questions.

I have been seeing Rachel for around 2 months and it has been the best investment in myself! Rachel is super friendly and put me at ease from the moment I met her. Ive already made so much progress in such a short time and I’m excited to see even more progress over the next couple of months, if you are thinking about having therapy I highly recommend Rachel!
